Palazzo Ducale
It is one of the symbols of Venice and a masterpiece of the Venetian Gothic. The palace was the residence of the Doge and of the Venetian magistracy, now it houses the Civic Museum of Palazzo Ducale.

Museo Correr
The Museo Correr is named after Teodoro Correr, a noble from an ancient Venetian family, careful collector. On his death he gave the city his art collection and the palace in Za’ Degolà where it was kept, besides many other objects.

Museum of Natural History
Housed in the Fontego dei Turchi palace  it was built in 1923 on the iniziative of Giorgio Silvio Coen, who displays and preserves the different scientific collections in Venice. Among them, the Giordani Soika entomological collection, the Bisacco naturalistic collection and the famous Ligabue collection stand out from the others.

The museum is now on restoration. Currently open to the public: the Ligabue Expedition Room and the Tegnue Aquarium

Ca’ Pesaro
Cà Pesaro is a baroque marble palace facing the Grand Canal of Venice and is considered one of the most beautiful Venetian palaces. Originally designed by Baldassarre Longhena in mid-17th century, the construction was completed by Gian Antonio Gaspari in 1710. It is today the city of Venice's museum of Modern Art.

Cà Rezzonico
It is one of the most famous Venetian palaces and now is the seat of the Museum of the Venetian Settecento (18th century), that houses important masterpieces by Guardi, Canaletto, Guardi, Tiepolo, Longhi and Tintoretto, besides works of art, furniture, interior furnishings.

Glass Museum
The museum has its premises in Murano, in the ancient Bishops Palace on Torcello Island. The collection are laid out chronologically  and range from the 15th to twentieth century with very interesting items.

Fortuny Museum
Venetian civic museum named after Mariano Fortuny who was interested in photography, scenography, stagecraft, textile creation and painting and that bought the ancient  Gothic palace belonging to the Pesaro family to mad it his own atelier  After his death, his wife gave the palace to the town council of Venice that transformed it in a place dedicated to the subjects of visual communication.

Guggenheim Museum
The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is the most important museum in Italy for European and American art of the first half of the 20th century. The museum presents chiefly Peggy Guggenheim's personal collection of 20th century art. The collection holds major works of Cubism, Futurism, Metaphysical painting, European abstraction, avant-garde sculpture, Surrealism, and American Abstract Expressionism, by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana
It is the most important library in Venice and one of the biggest in Italy. It contains one of the most important collection of Greek, Latin and oriental manuscripts in the world.
